FAQ

How long has Rio Sports Tour been offering its services?
Rio Sports Tour has been offering organized sports tours, as well as hands-on event management and support, since December of 2003. Having been created and run by a real Carioca (a local) is RST’s biggest attraction to those traveling to Rio due to a Carioca’s unique attitude and knowledge.

How’s the weather in Rio de Janeiro?
Temperatures are measured in Celsius here. You can enjoy the warm sand on Rio’s beaches almost every day during the year. The temperature during the summer months (Dec to Mar) can reach over 40ºC sometimes, but most of the year temperatures vary from 20ºC to 30ºC. Of course it rains, but the rainy days are very unpredictable. They usually happen after a hot and sunny stretch during summer time.

What’s this “feeling” that you guys keeping talking about?
It is present in everything our team prepares for you. From the moment you email us until you depart back home, lifetime experiences and memorable moments are part of this trip. It’s the feel of the Sun on your skin while you chill at one of the beaches of Rio. It’s the feel of good energy and friendship of the Carioca (locals). It’s even just drinking a coconut water after running around the Lagoon (Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas). Those types of things are the “feeling” we talk about. You will notice it after you’ve spent a few hours in Rio and you’ve adapted to the relaxed local rhythm and happy attitude.

How do I know if I need a visa to get in Brazil? And how can I get it?
The first thing to do is to get in touch with a Brazilian Embassy or Consulate in your area to check if you need a visa to travel to Brazil or not. If you need a visa, the Embassy or Consulate will guide you on how to apply and get it prior to your trip. A simple search of the internet will help you find a location near you: US, Canada and all others.
